PONL Mentorship Program

The PONL Mentorship Program connects emerging and experienced nurse leaders to support professional growth, leadership development, and meaningful collaboration within the nursing leadership community.

Through a structured mentor–mentee partnership, participants engage in regular communication and goal-focused dialogue designed to foster learning, confidence, and career advancement. Mentors provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback while creating a supportive environment for discussion and problem-solving. Mentees actively participate by setting goals, preparing discussion topics, and seeking feedback to advance their leadership journey.

Mentor–mentee pairs commit to maintaining confidentiality and engaging in at least one hour of communication per month, with additional contact as appropriate. Together, participants build a trusted relationship centered on professional development, innovative thinking, and shared learning.

The program strengthens the pipeline of nurse leaders across Pennsylvania while creating opportunities for connection, mentorship, and leadership excellence within the PONL community.
