SWPONL Recent Conference Highlights

2017 SWPONL Annual Conference

It was a wonderful educational event with a record number of attendees, exhibitors and poster presentations. Participants enjoyed a beautiful setting of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.

Thank you to the Conference Planning Committee for their tireless efforts over the past year to deliver this exceptional educational opportunity. Also, thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Conference. There were lots of opportunities for networking throughout the conference and some lucky attendees won enviable items in the ever popular raffle drawings! The 50/50 raffle benefitted the American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey Relief and the donation was sent in the amount of $1,500!

  • “I have been to several conferences - this was, by far, one of the most beneficial in terms of educational content - pertinent to nurses at all levels and in many different settings. The educational/ planning team prepared a wonderful program. The evening reception was very nice and the atmosphere during the entire conference was open and comfortable and facilitated dialogue and networking. I met so many new people there.”
  • “I don't think anything could top this conference…”
  • “I enjoyed every presentation and gained invaluable insight into the topics.”
  • “I just wanted to say that I REALLY enjoyed the different topics of this conference. The committee took a little risk with the PTSD, opioid, and LGBT speakers and I think it was worth it! I was engaged and interested and it wasn't the same topics that you always get at conferences like this…THANK YOU, this was a truly refreshing conference.”
  • “The meeting was terrific and networking exceptional.”
  • “This was one of the best conferences. Timing was great. Speakers had enough time to get their points across.”
