Participants in this session will explore the concept of mindfulness as it relates to work, life, and stress. Multiple definitions of mindfulness will be considered as participants begin to craft their own working definition. Participants will be introduced to two prominent voices in the field of mindfulness as history and traditions are explored.
This overview serves as an introduction to eight concepts that are central to the practice of mindfulness. An understanding of these foundation elements will open up a dialogue focused on the “what, why & how” of mindfulness. At the conclusion of the session, participants will understand the everyday benefits of mindfulness and recognize the simplicity of the practice.
